At 3,209ft (978m), Scafell Pike is the highest mountain in England and presents a formidable challenge to many experienced walkers. A team of 10 from William Hare made the ascent through severe wind and rain on Saturday the 12th of September.

The walk was in aid of the two charities of the year; Bury Hospice and St Catherine’s Hospice in Scarborough. Staff from both the Scarborough facility and the Brandlesholme office made up the team. The walk took the team most of the day and the weather didn’t let up throughout. The team managed to raise an incredible £1,422.50.
