Our teams are making some impressive progress on the iconic Battersea Power Plant redevelopment in London.

In September, a major milestone was achieved at the Battersea Power Station project in London, UK. A 62-tonne beam was successfully installed in the Boiler House – the product of 2 years of planning. The 27m long, 2.6m deep beam transfers a load of 2,070 tonnes down the power station, taking 7 floors above it and creating a truly exceptional column-free structure in the events centre and retail space below.

The key aim was that the beam was installed in one go despite the complexity of driving a 27m long beam through London and through the site itself. The successful installation of the beam now means that the project can progress with the concrete and the fit out.
